RINA is currently recruiting for a Regulatory Compliance Consultant 12- Month Maternity Cover to join its office in Leatherhead within the Energy Engineering Solutions Division.
Responsibilities
Are you passionate about engineering, regulatory compliance, and helping businesses navigate complex regulatory landscapes? We’re looking for a Product Regulatory Consultant to join our expert team in Leatherhead, Surrey, on a 12-month maternity cover contract as part of our growing Energy Business Unit.
As a Product Regulatory Consultant, you’ll be a key player in ensuring our clients' products comply with legal and technical requirements.
You will:
1. Assess products against legislation and standards.
2. Research materials and their applications across industries.
3. Develop compliance documentation, including technical files, test data, and risk assessments.
4. Deliver sound regulatory advice to a diverse client base, including manufacturers, trade associations, and regulators.
5. Manage projects effectively, ensuring they meet cost and time budgets.
6. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, attend industry events, and promote our services.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
1. A degree or equivalent in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., chemistry, materials science, engineering, environmental science, or law) or 1+ years of experience in these fields.
2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a sharp attention to detail.
Desirable:
1. Knowledge of regulations such as REACH, RoHS, WEEE, or Ecodesign.
2. Familiarity with manufacturing techniques and materials used in electrical and electronic products.
3. Previous technical consultancy experience.
4. Progress towards Chartered Status or security clearance.
