Join Our Team as a Support Worker in Bath (BA1)
Location: Bath, BA1 (In The Swainswick Area - Just a 13min Drive from Royal United Hospital, Bath)
11 per hour (Higher rate due to complex health needs)
Sleep-In Shifts: £50 per night
Hours: Full-Time (37.Shifts:
~Sleep-In: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM (paid to sleep) + day rate until 11:30 AM
Driver Requirement: Full UK Manual Driving Licence (Essential - you'll be driving a large mobility vehicle)
Are you creative, compassionate, and ready to make a real impact? We're looking for Support Workers to join our vibrant team in Bath, supporting eight incredible individuals with high and complex needs to live fulfilling, joyful lives.
Who Will You Be Supporting?
You'll be supporting eight adults (six men and two women) aged between 40 and 60, each with unique personalities and support needs. This is a dynamic and rewarding environment where you'll provide both 1:1 and 2:1 support.
The individuals you'll support have:
Guidance from Speech and Language Therapy (SALT) for safe and effective support
Family involvement is present, and cultural sensitivity is essential, especially around dietary needs for individuals from Muslim backgrounds.
As a Support Worker, you'll be:
Providing Personal Care: Supporting with all aspects of hygiene and mobility
Following SALT Guidelines: Ensuring safe feeding and communication support
Medication Administration: Including support for epilepsy and PEG feeding
Building Relationships: Reading body language, understanding individual preferences, and working closely with families
Positive & Driven: Brings energy and initiative to every shift
Creative & Musical: Musical skills are a bonus-our residents love music!
Able to read body language and respond with empathy
Driver: Comfortable driving a mobility minibus (manual licence required)
Experience with complex care and Positive Behaviour Support is ideal, but full training will be provided.
