About The Role
As Business Development Manager, you will identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive growth and revenue for regional big-sized channels across the South West of England, covering Birmingham down to Cornwall. You will research market trends, identify potential partners and customers, negotiate contracts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation.
This is a permanent, field-based role (75% home-based, remote selling, and 25% field-based) requiring residence in the territory. Travel within the territory, including overnights, and occasional off-territory travel for meetings and conferences, will be necessary.
What You Will Do
* Acquire new customers and develop opportunities with existing large customers.
* Identify new sales opportunities through prospecting, networking, and market research, leveraging technology and internal systems.
* Create and deliver persuasive presentations and proposals, articulating product impacts.
* Negotiate contracts and close sales.
* Manage the sales pipeline, forecast, and track performance metrics.
* Ensure customer expectations are met post-sale and address challenges to maintain wins.
Who You Are
This role suits an account manager or business development manager with experience in the medical sector. Desirables include:
* Experience in medical sales or a biochemistry background.
* Good knowledge of the acute care sector in the region.
* Experience in wound care is advantageous.
* Ability to develop professional relationships.
* Commercial acumen.
* IT skills and tech-savviness.
