Radiology Department Assistant

We have a vacancy for Radiology Department Assistants to join our team at London North West University Hospitals NHS Trust. The role requires cross‑site working across Northwick Park Hospital, Central Middlesex Hospital, Ealing Hospital and Ealing Community Diagnostic Centre.
The successful candidate will work under pressure, assisting radiologists and sonographers during diagnostic examinations, providing patient care while maintaining a safe and clean environment, and supporting high‑quality clerical and clinical service as required.
Main duties of the job
* Work as part of the radiology team, maintaining professional relationships with patients, departments and Trust staff.
* Assist radiologists, sonographers and radiographers with checking patient details, preparing patients for examination and managing attendances on the RIS system.
* Answer any questions patients may have after the examination and take advice from a sonographer, radiographer or radiologist when necessary.
Person Specification
Education / Qualifications
* NVQ 3 in a healthcare related subject.
Knowledge & Experience
* Previous experience in a health care environment working within a team.
* Experience of working in a hospital environment.
Skills, Abilities and Attributes
* Basic knowledge of computer systems.
* Fluent in English (verbal and written).
* Experience of mentoring and teaching.
* Ability to cannulate.

Salary: £30,630 to £32,346 a year inclusive of HCA.
