About The Role
Pivotal is hiring for the Digital Marketing Executive role with a focus on email marketing. You will work alongside the Head of Optimisation and Email Marketing to manage and grow all areas of the email marketing department, including account strategising, designing and building emails, completing account set‑ups, copywriting and reporting, building client relationships, and delivering results.
Full training will be provided, but a client‑first, results‑driven mindset is critical. You will be expected to deliver client work in a fast‑paced, demanding environment, supported by a knowledgeable team. In addition to email marketing you will assist on other marketing strategies such as CRO, Content & SEO, social media strategies and website content.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Excellent communication skills – required for building client relationships.
* Exceptional organisational skills – able to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
* Willingness to learn, take ownership and demonstrate initiative.
* Design experience with Photoshop or Canva and a keen eye for design.
* Creative mindset with high attention to detail.
* Excellent written English skills for engaging copy.
* Strong analytical skills and fluency in Excel to identify patterns and take action.
Desirable
* Experience in a previous e‑commerce or marketing role (in‑house or agency).
* Experience creating and sending emails using Klaviyo, MailChimp, DotDigital or similar.
* Experience with other e‑commerce platforms such as Google Analytics, Shopify, Magento 2 or Amazon.
* A degree or other relevant qualifications in Marketing, Creative Writing or Graphic Design.
Key Responsibilities
* Creating and managing email campaigns from strategy and research to design, development and deployment.
* Developing and building dynamic email templates optimized for different clients and devices.
* Monitoring email quality and deliverability, and performing general account maintenance.
* Developing the overall email marketing strategy for clients.
* Writing concise and engaging copy, including subject lines.
* Compiling visual, comprehensive reports and audits to report on performance.
* Conducting regular meetings with clients to discuss strategy.
* Assisting with other marketing areas such as CRO and Content & SEO.
