Education Technologies Expert and Service Lead I
Bath & North East Somerset Council is looking for an experienced IT Application Technologist with excellent customer engagement skills to drive adoption and change within our education applications (LiquidLogic EYES and CCIS). This role will provide a professional, proactive and responsive IT service to end users of our suite of LiquidLogic Applications.
Role Overview
We have created a new post in our LiquidLogic Applications Support Team to drive forward improvements in our education applications specifically LiquidLogic EYES and CCIS. You will oversee the systems’ development, continuous improvement and support of our Liquidlogic applications, primarily the EYES and NEET systems. Where core solutions do not exist, you will explore with our development team opportunities to create alternative solutions whilst still adhering to our LiquidLogic First Strategy.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with senior stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
* Ensure the reliability, performance and security of application systems.
* Develop and enforce best practices and standards for application development and management.
* Provide technical guidance, tailored training and mentorship.
* Manage escalations to external suppliers, monitor responses, and take action to see issues through to resolution.
Qualifications
* Good understanding of Social Care and Education and experience supporting and developing the LiquidLogic product.
* In-depth knowledge of ITIL frameworks and best practices.
* Customer focused with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively, using initiative and a passion for identifying opportunities for process improvements.
* Familiar with strong change management processes and able to lead on system upgrades & new developments.
Location & Working Conditions
Work will be based at the award‑winning, modern Civic Centre in Keynsham, halfway between Bath and Bristol. The council operates a flexible working policy, including the option to work at other sites or at home 4 days per week with the office day each Monday.
