About the role
Join our team at the Work Services Unit (WSU) and play a key role in delivering efficient and effective financial and management support!
We are looking for a Finance and Trade Assistant who will proactively support the delivery of high-quality services across the WSU. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a busy, collaborative environment where your financial expertise will directly contribute to the operational success of the service.
Please note that this role is office based 5 days a week.
Key Responsibilities
1. Update and maintain financial systems (Agresso, SharePoint, Open Revenues etc.)
2. Track, analyse, and process invoices, ensuring accurate cost assignments
3. Prepare and extract data for financial reports to support service management
4. Perform system administration tasks including data cleansing and year-end reconciliations
5. Process recharges, handle commercial waste enquiries and disputes, and liaise with suppliers
6. Raise and distribute purchase and requisition orders
7. Ensure high standards of confidentiality and compliance with data protection policies
About you
8. Experience in finance, administration, or a related field
9. Strong organisational and analytical skills
10. Proficiency with financial systems and Microsoft Office applications
11. Ability to communicate confidently with a wide range of stakeholders
12. A proactive approach to problem-solving and service improvement
13. Commitment to confidentiality, compliance, and high standards of service
