Overview
Our client, a fast-growing, UK-based apparel business operating in the streetwear and sports-influenced casualwear space. The product is trend-driven, youth-led, and commercial, with a strong focus on jersey, fleece, and casual woven categories.
The company hires with a long-term mindset and is known for developing and promoting talent from within. It is a supportive, friendly environment where management is hands-on, approachable, and invested in helping people learn, grow, and progress. This is a strong platform for someone who wants stability, responsibility, and career development rather than short-term moves.
This is a hands-on role supporting the design and product teams across Watford and London. The focus is technical execution — creating, checking, and amending tech packs and workbooks, and working closely with Designers to ensure accuracy, fit, and production readiness.
This role suits a practical, detail-driven Garment Technologist who is comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced environment.

* Maintain and update workbooks, including specs, measurements, construction details, and fit comments.
* Work closely with Designers in Watford and London to translate design intent into technically viable garments.
* Measure and review samples ahead of fit sessions.
* Attend and support fit sessions where required; capture and clearly document fit comments and amendments.
* Ensure all fit, spec, and construction changes are correctly actioned and communicated to factories.
* Liaise with offshore factories regarding fit, measurements, construction, and quality requirements.
* Support pattern amendments in collaboration with Designers and/or factories.
* Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout sampling and development stages.
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven experience as a Garment Technologist (freelance or permanent), ideally with sportswear/streetwear/activewear background.
* Strong experience producing and managing tech packs and workbooks end-to-end.
* Solid understanding of garment construction, fit, and pattern interpretation.
* Experience working with offshore factories.
* Confident working directly with Designers and cross-functional teams.
* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
* Able to work at pace and manage multiple styles simultaneously.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office.
* Experience across multi-product categories (menswear and/or womenswear) is an advantage.
