Job Title: Building and Ground Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Mount Peter | Warwick, NY
Pay Rate: $25-$30 per hour
Position Type: Full-Time
Job Summary:
Mount Peter is seeking a dedicated and skilled Building and Ground Maintenance Supervisor to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper upkeep and maintenance of our resort’s facilities and grounds, contributing to a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our guests and staff. Building and Ground Maintenance Supervisor Responsibilities:
* Perform routine inspections of buildings and grounds to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and areas requiring attention.
* Conduct preventative maintenance on resort facilities, including lodges, restrooms, ski lifts, and other structures, to ensure they remain in optimal condition.
* Maintain the resort’s landscaping, driveways, sidewalks, and parking lots, including snow removal during winter months.
* Repair and maintain equipment such as snow blowers, landscaping tools, and other machinery used on-site.
* Assist with the setup and take down of seasonal operations, including lodging, rental equipment areas, and support spaces needed for events or activities.
* Work collaboratively with other staff members to coordinate projects and ensure efficient service.
* Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and guests to resolve issues in a timely manner.
* Maintain inventory of supplies and tools needed for maintenance tasks, placing orders as necessary.
* Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and fellow employees.
* Assist in emergency repairs as necessary, especially during peak operational times.
* Staff scheduling during peak season
Building and Ground Maintenance Supervisor Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in a related field .
* Previous experience in maintenance, landscaping, or a related role, preferably in a hospitality or ski resort setting.
* Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems is a plus.
* Ability to operate a variety of maintenance equipment and tools safely.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Physical stamina and capability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions, including lifting heavy objects.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and guests.
* Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed, especially during peak seasons.
