The role covers both exhibitor and visitor marketing promotion for each event, ensuring each day is varied. The successful candidate will report into the Portfolio Marketing Manager, alongside the Senior Marketing Executive and Marketing & Sales Assistant.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Work with Marketing Manager on development and delivery of a dynamic, multi-channel full marketing campaign utilising digital and offline channels.
* Weekly reporting on successes of marketing output, including website statistics, email rates, social media engagement.
* To meet strict marketing and design deadlines for visitor and exhibitor campaign
* Building new and maintaining relationships with associations, key stakeholders, suppliers, magazines, media.
* Producing marketing campaigns in line with the marketing plan, including building and sending regular emails.
* Act as data champion for department, understanding what data will work best for each event and applying to campaign.
* Act as a brand champion ensuring adoption of best practice, ensuring brand guidelines are followed.
* Collaborate with other departments such as ops, sales, PR company and finance to ensure delivery.
* To represent the brand as ambassador, including attending relevant networking events, conferences, exhibitions and attending important client meetings as required.
* Maintain regular contact with key clients, visitor prospects to build strong relationships, deliver on customer service and provide ROI for the event.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
* At least 1 year's experience in a marketing or events role.
* Creative, idea driven, with the ability to look imaginatively for new and innovative ways of approaching the marketing requirements for each event.
* Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
* A confident communicator in all mediums – written, face-to-face & on the phone.
* Excellent time management and the ability to meet deadlines. Event dates do not move.
* Good copywriting skills and an eye for detail.
* Competent on technology programmes, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Canva.
* Social media savvy, can spot the latest trends, and how these can be used to promote the events.
* Ability to work independently and within a team.
* A friendly and sociable person who can work effectively and proactively with the sales, operations, content and PR functions as well as external partners, and stakeholders.
* A person with a love of live events, and is happy when required to work outside of their usual working hours to fill the needs of the event.
* A thirst for knowledge in order to gain a deep understanding of the sectors the events operate in.
* The desire to continually develop and grow their marketing knowledge.
