<div><h3>Occupational Health Technician</h3><p>Location: Royston, Hertfordshire (with some travel required). This is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract.</p><p>The Occupational Health Technician supports the Occupational Health team by performing health surveillance tests and assisting in the planning, implementation and administration of health screening programmes. The role maintains accurate and up‑to‑date Occupational Health records and works to protect and improve employee health and well‑being across Johnson Matthey sites.</p><h3>Travel Requirements</h3><ul><li>Royston – primary base site.</li><li>Brimsdown, North London – monthly visits as required.</li><li>Cambridge, Sonning and Farringdon – quarterly visits as required.</li></ul><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Deliver and administer health surveillance and screening programmes in line with company and departmental policies, including audiometry, spirometry, urinalysis, vision screening, phlebotomy and vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, height, weight, BMI).</li><li>Administer appropriate tests or vaccinations to employees consistent with current departmental protocols and Health & Safety guidelines.</li><li>Maintain accurate and confidential manual and electronic Occupational Health records.</li><li>Ensure confidentiality is always maintained in line with Data Protection, Medical Confidentiality and relevant guidelines.</li><li>Build and maintain effective working relationships with HR, EHS, managers and employees.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Previous experience in a similar role or healthcare environment with technical skills such as audiometry, spirometry, urinalysis, visual acuity measurement and blood pressure monitoring.</li><li>Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is highly desirable.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Occupational Health databases (e.g. Cohort, Cority).</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Demonstrated drive and determination to achieve tasks.</li></ul><h3>Benefits</h3><p>The role offers competitive salary aligned to experience and responsibilities, hybrid and flexible working options, and benefits including retirement savings, share plans, life and disability insurance, commuter allowances, medical plans, health assessments and fitness discounts.</p><h3>Equal Opportunity Statement</h3><p>Johnson Matthey Plc is an equal opportunities employer and positively encourages applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates regardless of sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, religion or belief.</p></div>
