Responsibilities
As Head of Design, you'll be working within the Major Projects team, shaping a high-profile project that will leave a lasting legacy. Your day to day will include:
* Input to and managing the project clause 31 and 32 programmes for design, understanding the importance of task planning and short interval control in the context of the wider project planning.
* Performance managing the team on time, cost, quality and health and safety; including agreeing and monitoring targets and providing feedback.
* Setting the standard for the health and safety reporting including monitoring and encouraging positive design interventions. This will include reporting to increase learning and integrate health and safety thinking into design daily activities.
* Working with the Building Information Modelling (BIM) manager, they will drive and support the use of digital design, common data environments, collaborative planning, clash checking and asset information capture, ensuring compliance with industry standards, Kier policy and meeting Client requirements in line with BIM4Water and the EIR.
* Ensuring proactive risk and opportunity management approach on all projects.
What are we looking for?
* You hold a degree level engineering qualification.
* You ideally hold CSCS accreditation or agree to obtain this during their employment.
* You have a full driving licence.
