Job Description
A client within the Public Sector based in Cheshire is currently recruiting for a Senior Surveyor (Commercial Property Manager) to join their Engineering and Surveying Team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a property and estates management environment.
The Role
Key purpose of the role is to manage and provide professional advice on a varied commercial property portfolio, ensuring the effective management of the Council’s assets and maximising income generation opportunities.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Managing a portfolio of commercial properties, including landlord and tenant matters, lease renewals, rent reviews and service charges.
• Undertaking property inspections, valuations, acquisitions, and disposals.
• Providing professional advice on estate management, asset optimisation and investment opportunities.
• Preparing reports and presenting recommendations to senior management and committees.
• Carrying out site visits and inspections as required.
• Working closely with internal departments and external stakeholders to deliver the Council’s property strategy.
