Role Overview: Band 6 Macmillan Senior Therapeutic Radiographer

* Assist Band 7 Radiographers in delivering innovative Radiotherapy services across Reading and Bracknell locations.
* Ensure services meet professional and technical standards, following CHKS guidelines and Trust policies.
* Maintain and develop personal competencies and skills.
* Lead a team of Radiographers in the absence of senior staff.
* Provide patient-centered care while meeting efficiency targets.
* Ensure compliance with governance standards.
* Practice within IR(ME)R guidelines.
* Participate in on-call duties and work shifts to meet service needs.
* Train, supervise, and assess students and learners.
* Work flexibly, including weekends and shifts between 7am and 8pm, as required.

Qualifications and Experience

* Degree in Therapeutic Radiography or Diploma of College of Radiographers.
* State Registration.
* Specialist practice experience with caseload management.
* Evidence of further study and understanding of the cancer care agenda.
* Experience with modern Radiotherapy techniques and equipment.
* Appropriate UK professional registration.

The Berkshire Cancer Centre provides fully CHKS accredited Radiotherapy services, equipped with advanced technology including CT scanners, Linear Accelerators, and Brachytherapy units. The department is recognized as a 'Centre of Excellence' for Surface Guided Radiotherapy. Reading offers a vibrant community with excellent transport links, leisure facilities, and top schools, making it an ideal place to live and work.
