Cheylesmore Chartered Accountants is seeking a dedicated qualified Semi-Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. As a Semi-Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing financial operations of our organisation and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in financial and management accounting, and proficiency with various accounting softwares such as Xero, Accountancy manager, Sage and Dext is required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, and ensure client concerns and queries are addressed.
* Review payrolls and pensions prepared by junior staff to ensure accuracy.
* Review VAT returns and year-end financials.
* Assist clients with technical inquiries and ensure tasks are completed promptly.
* Distribute workload among the team to meet deadlines.
* Provide technical support to the team, helping them meet their deadlines.
* Monitor team performance to ensure successful output.
* Conduct self-assessments as assigned.
* Onboard new clients effectively.
* Support both the team and management as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
* 3-5 years of accounting experience in the UK.
* Proven experience in leading and managing teams.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
* Strong organisational and leadership abilities.
* Attention to detail and commitment to deadlines.
