Trade Counter Sales
HPD is now one of the fastest growing independent heating & plumbing organisations in Scotland.
We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Sales Advisor to join our forward-thinking team to help deliver our strategic priorities. This position is a Full-Time Permanent post which provides an excellent opportunity to work within a fast-paced retail organisation committed to providing exceptional customer service.
As a Sales Advisor you will play a vital role in our operations serving as the first point of contact in our customer focussed branch operations.
The successful candidate will:
· Possess National 4 or equivalent in Mathematics and English.
· Ideally have previous experience working within a Plumbing and Heating Merchants or a sales environment.
· Be an effective communicator with skills in in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
· Be determined to succeed with a positive "can-do" customer focussed attitude.
· Be a highly organised individual with excellent communication skills.
Sales Advisor will be responsible for:
· Handling incoming customer enquiries.
· Ensuring orders are accurately created and provided to customers.
· Accurately prepare orders for delivery.
· Warehouse maintenance including stock rotation, general safety and good housekeeping.
· Supporting high levels of customer satisfaction and deliver operational excellence across all aspects of the business.

Hours of work are Mon-Friday 8.00am until 5.00pm with a 1hr Lunch break, and 1 half day per week off rotationally, every second Saturday is rotational and requires the successful candidate to work between 8.00am until 12.00pm.
JOB PURPOSE
To provide Counter Sales and Warehouse support within HPD branches.
The post holder will ensure that the sales counter runs smoothly, engaging with customer enquiries by being their first point of contact, providing quotations, upselling merchandise to re engaging lapsed and low spend customers.
Serve trade and domestic customers whilst providing technical product advice and product compatibility.
Help with local pricing and promotions, arranging displays and ordering, picking, packing, unpacking and delivering orders were necessary.
To work closely with the Branch manager and ultimately the Operations Manager to ensure the effective operations of the stores and warehouses.

· Ensure continuous review and self-development, maintain an accurate Continuous Personal Learning plan
