Job Description
As a Quantity Surveyor at Taylor Wimpey, you will manage site budgets, contribute to delivering high-quality homes, and develop your skills through comprehensive training, rotations across various Business Units, and mentorship from experienced professionals. The program aims to develop your technical skills, leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities, preparing you for a successful career in construction and surveying.
You will gain hands-on experience in areas such as:
* Tender Process: Review drawings, analyse tenders, negotiate with contractors.
* S.I.T Budgets: Create and manage Excel SIT Budgets, utilise COINS SIT Budgets.
* Order Placement: Chair meetings and facilitate COINS Order Placement.
* Payments: Generate payment batches, address invoice queries, draft certificates.
* CVR: Conduct valuations, reconcile costs, compile reports.
* Subcontractor Management: Cultivate relationships, manage accounts, understand pricing structures.
Beyond technical skills, your problem-solving ability and relationship-building skills will be vital. You'll collaborate across teams, turning challenges into opportunities and forging lasting connections.
Support includes experienced team oversight, training sessions, regular reviews, and salary increases every six months.
