We are working with a growing M&E contractor delivering high-quality mechanical solutions across complex commercial projects. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Mechanical Estimator to take a leading role in tendering and pre-construction activities.
🔍 Role Overview
You will be responsible for producing accurate, competitive cost estimates across mechanical packages including HVAC, pipework, and plumbing systems, supporting project delivery from bid stage through to handover.
⚙️ Key Responsibilities
* Review drawings, specs, and tender documentation
* Produce detailed cost estimates and take-offs
* Engage suppliers and subcontractors for pricing
* Support value engineering and cost optimisation
* Attend site surveys where required
* Maintain pricing databases and estimating tools
* Support project handover to delivery teams
âś… Requirements
* 5+ years’ experience in mechanical estimating
* Strong knowledge of pipework, HVAC & public health systems
* Experience on projects up to ÂŁ5m
* Proficient with estimating software (e.g. Ensign or similar)
* Strong commercial and analytical skills
