About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join our growing team based in Stoke-on-Trent. This is a fantastic opportunity for an AAT-qualified or QBE (Qualified by Experience) professional looking to play a key role in supporting the finance function within a busy and dynamic business.This is a fully office-based role (5 days per week), particularly important during the initial onboarding period.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
Support budgeting and forecasting processes
Perform balance sheet reconciliations
Maintain and analyse financial data using advanced Excel
Work with finance systems including Sage 200 and SUN (Unit4)
Assist with month-end and year-end processes
Provide financial insights and support to the wider businessAbout You
AAT qualified or QBE with relevant experience
Strong experience using Sage or other finance/ accounting systems
Strong Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication skills with a proactive approachWhat We Offer
