Are you a qualified teacher with a passion for supporting children with additional learning needs?
An outstanding specialist provision in Cardiff is seeking a compassionate and creative ALN (Additional Learning Needs) Teacher to join their team from September.
The school provides specialist education for pupils aged 4–18 with a range of complex learning needs, including Autism (ASD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). Lessons are delivered through a multi-sensory approach, with class sizes typically between 6 and 10 pupils, supported by additional staff.

Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning profiles
* Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and external professionals
* Monitor pupil progress and adapt strategies accordingly
* Support the emotional and social development of learners

Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – essential
* A strong interest or background in ALN education
* Experience in special schools or ALN provisions is advantageous
* Knowledge of Makaton, PECS, or communication aids (desirable)
* Patience, empathy, and a child-centred teaching approach
