Are you an experienced Maintenance Supervisor, seeking a role in a fast-paced, global, market-leading company?
At Innovative Technology, we have an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our talented team at our head office in Oldham, Greater Manchester.
Role overview:
The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee all aspects of site maintenance and health and safety priorities, including planned and reactive maintenance. They will also manage new projects aimed at improving site facilities. We are looking for someone proactive in ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
Your Responsibilities:
* Maintain the security and appearance of company buildings and surrounding areas according to company standards.
* Conduct regular site checks to uphold standards.
* Plan and execute preventative maintenance, including minor electrical repairs (e.g., lighting), minor plumbing issues (e.g., blockages, leaks), basic building upkeep (e.g., painting, carpentry), and emergency tasks (e.g., snow shovelling).
* Identify and report major maintenance needs to the Production Manager.
* Adhere to safe work systems and maintain a tidy workshop.
* Perform maintenance risk assessments and PAT testing on electrical equipment.
* Maintain building utilities (electricity, gas, water) as needed.
* Supervise maintenance contracts, coordinate contractors, and provide mini-inductions on hazards, emergency procedures, first aid, alarms, and contacts.
* Manage and coordinate with contractors to ensure legal compliance.
* Serve as the point of contact for site security, CCTV monitoring, and key holding, both during and after hours.
Skills and experience required:
* City & Guilds or NVQ level 3 in mechanical and electrical maintenance, or a recognized formal apprenticeship.
* Competent in basic building repairs and maintenance, with the ability to work with hardware tools and power equipment.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
* Flexible and committed to working hard and completing tasks within agreed timescales.
* Highly organized with good communication skills.
* Detail-oriented with problem-solving skills.
* Knowledge of health and safety procedures, including COSHH regulations, and awareness of health and hygiene procedures.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office packages (Excel, Word, etc.).
