Full Time Seasonal Ecologist 2026 - Brindle & Green
You will be supporting the ecology department in day‑to‑day field surveys. This 6‑month, full‑time (40 hours a week) position is based at our rural Derby office. The core duties involve completing protected species surveys, desk‑based data analysis, mapping, data processing and report writing.
Key Responsibilities and Benefits
* Conducting ecological surveys, including reptile surveys, great crested newt surveys, bat emergence surveys, and bat activity surveys
* Undertaking ecological clerk of works and site supervision
* Undertaking translocation visits
* Bat data analysis
* QGIS mapping of data
* Preparing survey kit and paper forms
* Supporting ecological report writing
