Job Description
You’ll be responsible for drafting BAT Conclusions, liaising with Technical Working Groups and presenting a final document suitable for publication as a new, UK-wide environmental standard for industry. Other responsibilities include:
* Drafting and reviewing technical documents related to Best Available Techniques (BAT) for Large Volume Inorganic Chemicals (LVIC) installations.
* Collaborating with stakeholders and technical experts to define and refine BAT concepts.
* Managing project timelines and ensuring deliverables meet regulatory and policy requirements.
* Occasional travel and overnight stays as required.
Experience / Skills Required
• Minimum of 5 years working experience in environmental regulation or the LVIC industry.
• Specialist knowledge of the large volume inorganic chemicals industry.
• In-depth understanding of UK and EU industrial environmental legislation, including the IED and Environmental Permitting Regulations.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to critically evaluate complex technical data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with experience drafting technical documents for regulatory bodies.
• Project‑management skills and a proven ability to deliver on time and to high quality.
