Overview We are seeking an experienced qualified accountant with a strong background in people management to join our team in a key leadership role. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will oversee key financial processes and lead a team to deliver excellence in financial reporting and compliance. You will be responsible for reviewing statutory accounts, coordinating audits, preparing board reports, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Additionally, you will provide technical accounting expertise, support internal controls, and mentor and develop team members.
How you'll make an impact Conduct thorough reviews of statutory accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant standards Collaborate closely with external auditors, managing and coordinating the audit process to ensure timely and efficient completion Oversee the review and preparation of board reports, delivering clear and insightful financial information to support decision-making Review FCA regulatory reporting to ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and standards Lead the review and preparation of impairment calculations Manage the review and preparation of earn-out calculations Oversee the review and preparation of technical accounting papers, providing clear guidance on complex accounting issues. Provide expert technical support and mentorship to the team of Accountants, fostering professional development and knowledge sharing Ensure adherence to internal controls, identifying and addressing any gaps or risks Review reconciliations of Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss accounts, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies promptly
About You Qualified Accountant (ICAS/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) Advanced technical accounting skills with a solid understanding of UK GAAP/IFRS, US GAAP knowledge advantageous Proven track record in managing teams effectively, fostering collaboration, and driving performance Highly organised and proactive, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
