As a lead mechanical engineer, you will play a key role in designing high-quality mechanical systems that meet customer requirements, industry standards, and all environmental, legal, and safety obligations.

What You'll Do
Produce mechanical engineering designs, calculations, and technical documentation in line with customer specifications and applicable standards.
Take ownership of design packages from concept through to release, supporting manufacturing and ensuring right-first-time delivery.
Provide technical expertise across the business, supporting Sales, Operations, and other departments.
Attend internal and external meetings to resolve technical issues and drive continuous improvement.Skills and Experience
Essential:
BEng or MEng in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Proven experience delivering mechanical designs in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD systems (e.g., AutoCAD, Creo).
Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of engineering standards, legislation, and safety requirements.
Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
Desirable:
IEng or CEng status (or working toward it).
Experience acting as a technical authority, including design review and approval.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Strong communication skills and a proactive, innovative mindset
