There are a variety of positions available within primary, secondary, and SEND settings across Newcastle & Gateshead – with a guaranteed interview available for candidates who successfully complete the Academy.
About the role:
The role of a Learning Support Assistant is rewarding, varied, and now two days are ever the same. You will support pupils’ educational, emotional, and social development, working with individuals or small groups to help them access learning, build confidence, and reach their full potential. You may assist with lesson preparation, provide tailored support for pupils with additional needs, and help create an inclusive, nurtuing environment where every learning feels valued.
What we’re looking for:
Do you have a genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their potential? We’re looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals who can build positive relationsips, work collaboratively with staff, and make a real difference in the classroom every day. Essential requirements include a good standard of literacy and numeracy, experience working with children or young people, whether voluntary or paid, strong communication skills, patience, and empathy.
