Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing food production, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring that all meals are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities

* Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
* Oversee food production processes, ensuring adherence to recipes, presentation standards, and portion control.
* Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed while minimising waste.
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
* Develop new menu items and specials that align with seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
* Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery.
* Monitor kitchen operations to ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices.

Skills

* Proven supervising experience in a kitchen environment.
* Strong background in food production and preparation techniques.
* Excellent team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
* Extensive culinary experience with a passion for cooking and creativity in menu development.
* Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
* Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable.
