Position Purpose
The Product Manager is accountable for the product management for specific product(s) within JATO that supports the overarching product strategy.
This incorporates the full product life cycle; product discovery, product delivery, in-life performance, and end-of-life.
Main Responsibilities
* Be responsible for the evaluation of product investment opportunities for their product.
* Create the appropriate level of business case / investment proposal for new product investments.
* Work with other internal stakeholders to develop compelling value propositions for their product(s).
* Determine what gets built and delivered to customers aligned to the strategic direction.
* Create product roadmaps for their product(s).
* Be responsible for the performance of their product(s) in the marketplace.
* Be responsible for the pricing of their product(s).
* Be responsible for product investment decisions for their product(s) for entire product lifecycle to drive product performance, across product value, usability, feasibility, and business viability:
* Product value – will/do customers buy it and receive the anticipated value?
* Product usability – are customers/users able to use the product as appropriate to their job?
* Product feasibility – can the technology teams build it, is it technically performant?
* Business viability – does the product work across internal business areas/stakeholders appropriately?
* Contribute pro-actively to the strategic product direction.
* Collaborate with the wider product team and align and commit to that product vision and strategy.
* Internally and externally be the evangelist for their product.
* Internally be the voice of the marketplace for their product.
* Instil a “develop once, sell many” philosophy for their product.
* Foster innovation in the team, products, and processes to meet the current and future needs of the marketplace.
* Collaborate with the Technology and Data teams to deliver on product investment decisions.
* Collaborate with other business stakeholders
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
* Proven experience of managing technology powered products to deliver market value (e.g. Data, SaaS, Digital, Analytics, Insight tools).
* Experience of managing products through the complete product lifecycle.
* Knowledge / experience of using Agile development methods
* High empathy for users (customers), their needs and their success.
* Experience of different product delivery methodologies.
* Ability to manage the expectations, demands, and priorities of multiple internal stakeholders.
* Excellent relationship builder, open-minded and culturally sensitive
* Experience in Automotive, Leasing and/or research sectors would be beneficial
