Configuration Management Administrator
Crawley -Hybrid (Minimum 3 days onsite)

Our Opportunity
We have a great opportunity for a Configuration Management Administrator to join the Thales Underwater systems(UWS) engineering team.
As a Configuration Management Administrator within Thales, you will:
5. Be responsible for the registration and release of data managed in configuration
6. Verify the integrity, validity and maintenance of records relating to the data, including traceability and history over the entire life cycle Take in charge the verification of the completeness of technical and non-technical data (whether internally and externally)
7. Ensure the provision of up-to-date data to the relevant functions
8. Record configuration baselines and provide status on identified gaps or omissions
9. Translate the decisions of the Configuration Manager into the tool as required
10. Be a configuration management tool (PLM) expert and provide support to the project/product team
11. Archive obsolete data
About You
PROFILE:
12. You graduated with a Higher National Certificate (HNC) or a Higher National Diploma (HND) and have experience in configuration management processes
13. You are a communicator and a team player: you are willing to help and establish strong relationships with the rest of the team
14. You are said to be methodical and meticulous, with a keen eye for details and advanced organizational skills
15. You are proactive
COMPETENCIES:
16. You are able to understand configuration management processes and tools through the prism of contractual requirements and stakeholders’ needs
17. You foster continuous improvement and encourage a culture of feedback
18. You are able to multi-task and prioritise without requiring regular direct supervision
19. You can support the team with your good knowledge of configuration management tools & practices, as well as that of the Product Lifecycle Management domain (tools, technical data, reporting)
20. You have the ability to establish and meet deadlines
21. You understand the importance of data integrity
Security Clearance statement
Due to the nature of the work that we do at Thales, many of our roles are subject to security restrictions. This role requires you to be a sole UK National and achieve Security Clearance (SC) without any caveats. It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance prior to commencing employment. To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years’ residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.
