Job Description
13. Oversee all reservations (rooms and outlets) across Novotel Edinburgh Centre and Ibis Edinburgh Centre South Bridge, ensuring accuracy in booking, inventory control, and guest information.
14. Align with revenue strategy by monitoring booking trends, supporting forecast accuracy, managing allotments, and coordinating with other departments.
15. Lead and standardise operations by supervising reservation staff across both properties, maintaining consistent SOPs, and ensuring high service standards for guests and partners.
16. Maintain good commercial relationships with all bookers (guests, companies, agencies) and promote Accor loyalty programmes and hotel promotions.
17. Handle guest complaints professionally, ensuring resolution and proper recording.
18. Ensure accuracy of all booking information in Opera Cloud and maintain guest history records.
19. Implement and control Focus and other financial and audit procedures.
20. Provide updated reports, statistics, and forecasts to management and other departments.
21. Stay updated with competitors' offerings and rates.
22. Conduct daily line-up briefings with the reservation team and attend inter-departmental meetings.
23. Assist in staff recruitment, training, and development in liaison with the People and Culture department.
Qualifications
24. 3–5 years of experience in Reservations/Front Office within an international hotel chain, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
25. Proven track record in managing rooms, particularly in properties with MICE
26. Experience in revenue management collaboration and knowledge of Accor distribution/loyalty systems
27. Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and leadership abilities
28. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, focusing on guest needs whilst remaining calm and courteous
29. Excellent communication skills and ability to work cohesively as part of a team
