Restaurant Shift / Floor Manager role at Tim Hortons UK & Ireland Ltd.
Location: RM20 1WN
Salary: £13.00 + Bonus Scheme
Type: Permanent, full-time
Responsibilities
* Customer Service
o Lead by example treating customers as top priority.
o Be customer focused in all areas of the restaurant operations.
o Accurate staff scheduling that meets customer demand.
o Support the whole team to maintain operational efficiency,
o Conduct regular store walks, in the eyes of the customer.
* People
o Encourage staff to share suggestions and concerns.
o Provide feedback to all members of the team on performance, set goals and objectives & provide support and guidance.
o Create a positive teamwork ensuring that all employees are treated with dignity and respect and are free from discrimination.
o Performance management when necessary, working with the HR Department
* Driving Sales
o An in-depth understanding of sales, popular products, peak trade times, and adjusts accordingly.
o Ensure all products are correctly merchandised and at sufficient levels and all aspects of the marketing campaigns.
o Coach employees to up sell and suggestive sell to customers.
o Constantly evaluate where the restaurant could improve. Based on employee incentives to bring employees focus to continuous improvement.
* Operations
o Key Performance Indicators, such as sales, employee turnover, Food safety and Health & Safety standards.
o Set the example for your team by keeping a cool head under pressure.
o Weekly stock orders and ensure that all incoming orders are checked for quality.
o Maintenance schedule for all equipment for preventative maintenance and calibration purposes.
o Optimal inventory
o Opening and closing procedures.
o Maintaining operational standards/cleanliness within the restaurant, such as food quality, food hygiene standards, customer experience, speed of service and hospitality
o Health and Safety program in the restaurant, focusing on the accurate and prompt reporting of any accidents or incidents to the Regional Manager.
o Be available at the times to work a variety of shifts as part of the management team.
Qualifications
* Previous experience of running restaurants
* A flexible and disciplined approach to work.
* Experience of working in a food environment would be advantageous but not essential.
* Able to work as part of a team and on their own.
* Have a reasonable standard of numeracy and literacy.
* To maintain a high level of food hygiene and food safety
* Experienced of handling customer complaints
* To maintain a positive Health and Safety procedures and instructions are followed.
