We are currently supporting a manufacturing organisation in the search for a Costing & Pricing Analyst to join them on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract. This opportunity is with a manufacturing-focused organisation operating across both produced and purchased product lines. The business places strong emphasis on accurate costing, pricing integrity, and operational efficiency, supporting sales and manufacturing teams through robust data-driven decision making.
Your new role
You’ll join the business on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract, taking responsibility for maintaining and developing the cost and retail pricing systems across manufactured and purchased products.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Maintaining and developing the cost and retail pricing system
2. Calculating cost prices by consolidating data from existing databases and software
3. Creating retail price lists for finished goods for the Sales Team, using a percentage markup matrix that accounts for all direct and indirect costs, profit margins, and maximum allowable trade discounts
4. Conducting performance and productivity analysis across manufacturing operations
5. Providing professional judgement on cost-related matters and rmending improvements to business performance and efficiency
6. Monitoring and evaluating purchasing and costing information systems, suggesting improvements where appropriate
7. Creating and managing Bills of Materials and Operations (BOM / BOMO), including:
- Assemblies and sub-assemblies
- Manufactured parts produced from raw materials
- Purchased parts sourced as raw materials orponents
- Fabrication, assembly, and machine operations (labour and machine rates and required production times)
8. Importing and inputting raw material and purchased product pricing
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you’ll need strong experience in cost accounting, pricing, and manufacturing analysis, with the ability to work confidently acrossplex product structures and operational data. You’ll be analytical, detail-oriented, andfortable influencing decisions through accurate costing andmercial insight.
