A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Process / Mechanical Project Engineer to join its growing team in South Yorkshire. This is a permanent role offering a long-term opportunity to contribute to the safe and successful delivery of engineering projects in a complex industrial environment.
The role is suited to a qualified engineer with experience leading multi-disciplinary projects from concept through to completion, ensuring safety, cost, schedule, and quality targets are met. You will be part of a dynamic team working on diverse and technically challenging assignments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the engineering delivery of assigned projects from initiation to handover
Ensure project objectives are met on time, within budget, and to required safety and quality standards
Coordinate between disciplines, suppliers, and contractors to align technical deliverables
Monitor project risks and take corrective actions where required
Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and environmental standards
Prepare technical documentation, reports, and project updates
Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment of project scope and expectations
Essential Qualifications and Experience
Degree-qualified in Mechanical, Process, or related Engineering discipline
Minimum of 8 years of relevant industrial experience
Demonstrable track record of delivering engineering projects to time, cost, and safety requirements
Strong understanding of SHEQ standards within a project environment
