Job summary

Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated and dynamic Clinical Trainer for Physical Health to join our Nursing and Quality Directorate. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping and delivering high quality physical health education across the organisation.

You will support the implementation of the Trust's Physical Health Strategy, delivering a range of training including (but not limited to) Physical Health in Mental Health/LD, Clinical Skills, Immediate Life Support, Enhanced Life Support and simulation based education. Your expertise will help ensure our workforce is confident, competent and equipped to provide safe, compassionate and evidence based physical healthcare.

This role is ideal for an experienced clinician with a passion for teaching, service improvement and supporting others to develop.


Main duties of the job

Deliver high quality physical health and clinical skills training to staff across the Trust.o Develop, implement and evaluate new training programmes based on audit, staff feedback and organisational priorities.o Provide expert clinical advice and act as a second opinion in complex situations.o Support staff in developing competence and confidence in physical health care delivery.o Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and the wider physical health agenda.o Participate in clinical audit, research and service development activities.o Maintain clinical competence in extended skills relevant to the training portfolio.o Travel across Trust sites to deliver training as required.
