Supply Chain Operative

A newly formed Humber & North Yorkshire Procurement Collaborative, hosted by Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, will provide procurement and supply chain services to its partner trusts and may extend over time to service other bodies within the Integrated Care System.
In this role you will work as a Supply Chain Operative within Hull University Teaching Hospitals and contribute to the cleanliness, security and safety of equipment and stock throughout the Trust. You will use clearly defined procedures, exercise initiative on routine matters, and refer to the Supplies Site Lead when necessary.
Responsibilities include taking delivery of product to the site, receipting goods onto the e‑Procurement system, stocking clinical and non‑clinical areas, putting away stock and maintaining stock rotation to minimise wastage, and scanning to reorder stock against agreed stock levels.
You will work to ensure an efficient, effective customer‑focused service for all staff across the site, supporting excellent patient care.
You will supervise up to 11 (depending on site) band 2 Supply Chain Assistants, ensuring a consistent service to stakeholders across the Trust site.

* Able to work alone and on own initiative
* Respects and safeguards confidential information
* Problem solving ability
* Ability to travel across the various Trust sites and provide support as required to maintain business continuity
* Flexible approach, able to cope with change and uncertainty
* Strong team player, highly enthusiastic and motivated
* Full UK manual driving licence
* Good level of general health, able to complete manual handling and active duties related to the role
* Able to start work from 6am when necessary
* Experience supervising staff
* Experience organising and prioritising workload amongst self and colleagues
* NHS experience
* Experience of using inventory management systems
* Experience operating pallet trucks
* Full UK C1 driving licence
* Able to work during unsociable hours if necessary
