Your Role as a Special Education Teacher
* Plan and Implement Instruction: Use appropriate strategies and materials that cater to the diverse learning styles of your students.
* Develop Lesson Plans: Create engaging lesson plans that align with The Learning Spectrum curriculum.
* Collaborate Effectively: Work with students, parents, and staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
* Support Student Growth: Help students analyze and improve their study methods through constructive feedback.
* Evaluate Strategies: Assess and modify educational interventions based on IEPs and direct observations.
* Create a Positive Learning Environment: Foster a classroom atmosphere that supports the physical, social, and emotional development of students.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
* A flexible, positive attitude toward students with disabilities.
* Competency in various instructional strategies for individualized learning.
* Knowledge of research-based interventions for students with autism spectrum disorder, including ABA and structured teaching.
