About the role
As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in leading and delivering civil engineering projects. You'll collaborate with clients, architects, and contractors, ensuring designs are practical, sustainable, and compliant with industry standards.
Key responsibilities
* Lead the design and delivery of civil engineering projects (infrastructure, drainage, highways, flood risk).
* Manage project teams and mentor junior engineers.
* Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
* Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
* Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
* Contribute to business development and support bids/tenders.
About you
* We're seeking someone with strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for problem-solving.
Essential skills & experience
* Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
* Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or working towards it.
* Proven experience in infrastructure design (drainage, highways, earthworks).
* Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage).
* Excellent communication and project management skills.
* Ability to lead projects and mentor junior staff.
