About the Role
You will be responsible for optimising materials and parts stocks, avoiding shortages occurring and minimising stock valuations. Utilising a pro-active approach, you will drive down the cost of purchased commodities and deliver stores systems and controls to maximise the factory capability to meet budget production targets; volume / yield / waste. You will also:
1. Manage stock inventory; order and receive parts/goods for the engineering department, stores and kiln; optimising material stock to avoid shortage occurring
2. Maintain an organised stores area, with all parts and locations clearly identified so parts can be accessed speedily and safely; reporting any unavailable equipment/material that may compromise plant performance
