Hull City Council’s Events Team is looking for a dynamic and motivated Events Assistant to provide strong administrative support for the events officers delivering a range of events across the city, including major public gatherings and sports ground safety operations.
About the Role
As an Events Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in providing the administrative support function for the Events and Sports Ground Safety Manager and the events team. You’ll be responsible for:
* Providing high-quality administrative, financial, and analytical support to the events team including taking high level minutes, raising orders, producing budget documents and proving a range of administrative functions.
* Assisting with audits and the preparation of Safety Advisory Group (SAG) minutes for quarterly meetings held at the city’s two main stadia. This will involve taking minutes and preparing documents and keeping a record of all documents and correspondence.
* Helping to coordinate the administrative function multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met, orders are raised, payments are made and budget sheets are completed and team collaboration is smooth.
* Supporting the administrative function event delivery, which may include evening and weekend work, travel across the city, and operating from temporary office accommodation during events.

We’re seeking someone who is:
* A highly Organised and detail-oriented administrator, with experience managing competing priorities.
* Comfortable working in a busy, team-focused environment and producing detailed budgets and minutes.
* Skilled in all areas of administration with a proven track record of accuracy, budget tracking, and data analysis.
* A confident communicator, able to liaise with internal teams and external partners.
* Flexible and willing to work outside standard office hours when required.
