Lead AI Solutions Architect
Contract Type: 6-Month Contract (Inside IR35)
Day Rate: £650 - £750/day
Location: UK Based - Hybrid
Clearance: Active SC Cleared
We are looking for a highly skilled Lead AI Solutions Architect to join a transformative programme within a major government department. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex, regulated environments and is passionate about designing scalable, ethical AI solutions that deliver measurable impact.
Key Responsibilities
* Architect and lead the delivery of enterprise-grade AI solutions.
* Design and implement Target Operating Models (TOMs) for AI adoption.
* Ensure compliance with government standards, data protection, and ethical AI principles.
* Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align AI strategy with business goals.
* Contribute to reusable architecture patterns and internal capability uplift.
* Provide technical assurance and mentoring across multidisciplinary teams.
Essential Experience
* Proven track record in designing and scaling AI/ML solutions in regulated environments.
* Deep understanding of the AI/ML lifecycle, model governance, and risk-based assurance.
* Hands-on experience with platforms such as AWS Bedrock, Azure AI Foundry, Google Vertex, and open-source AI/ML stacks.
* Familiarity with Agentic AI frameworks and their implementation.
* Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex requirements into actionable solutions.
Additional Criteria
* Direct authorship of solution design documentation.
* Experience defining architectural guardrails and technical standards.
* Demonstrated ability to deliver solutions hands-on, not just in a managerial capacity.
* Comfortable operating as a “doer” — rolling up sleeves and contributing technically.
