Our innovative client are looking for a dynamic and entrepreneurial CFO to join the leadership of their agricultural technology company. This role presents a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy of a forward-thinking company. The perfect candidate is a bright, agile, intellectual self-starter who enjoys problem solving and working collaboratively and proactively. You will lead FP&A, cashflow management and general management functions and be heavily involved in fundraising activities. Key responsibilities: Financial Strategy: Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company's goals, including cashflow management and capital structure decisions. Build a streamlined suite of high impact KPIs to provide insights and recommendations to the CEO for informed decision-making Support fundraising requirements Financial Planning and Analysis: Be hands on in the preparation of financial models for upcoming fundraising Oversee broader business budgeting and forecasting Analyse financial data and present actionable recommendations Cashflow Management: Implement best practice cash flow management tools, appropriate to a Seed-stage company, to maximise cash runway by providing real time actionable insights Leadership and Team Management: Lead the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Oversee human resources functions related to finance, including compensation and benefits. The Ideal Candidate: Finance leadership - proven experience in a senior finance leadership role, developing high-performing teams. Analytical skills - strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, gained from working in either a Big 4 Advisory function, or FP&A function at a leading company At least 7 years post-qualified experience in a varied line finance role, ideally including high growth startup environments Experience in establishing new processes and procedures in very short time frames and clear track record of simplifying existing processes.
