Are you a qualified LARC Long-Acting Reversible Contraception Nurse with a passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centred care? We're currently seeking a skilled Locum LARC Nurse to join a supportive and dynamic team in East London.
Requirements:
* Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration
* Accredited LARC training (coil and implant fitting/removal)
* Proven experience in sexual and reproductive health services

Main duties of the job
* Provide comprehensive counselling on contraceptive options, with an emphasis on LARC methods including intrauterine devices (IUDs) and contraceptive implants.
* Assess patient medical history and eligibility for LARC methods.
* Perform insertions and removals of LARC devices, adhering to clinical protocols and safety guidelines.
* Monitor for complications or side effects and provide appropriate follow-up care.
* Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
* Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare staff to ensure continuity of care.
* Participate in ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives related to reproductive health services.
Qualifications:
* Required:
* Current Registered Nurse (RN) license [State-specific]
* BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
* Proven clinical experience in womens health, family planning, or reproductive healthcare
* Competency in LARC insertion and removal procedures or willingness to be trained
* Preferred:
* BSN or higher nursing degree
* Certification in reproductive health or family planning (e.g., from AWHONN or NCC)
* Experience working in community health, family planning clinics, or OB-GYN settings
