About the role
The purpose of this role is to build and maintain strong local relationships with contacts at the Global, International & Focus brokers, executes and maximises value and revenue from key agreements and contracts. This person will develop and embed an innovative approach to business development, promoting sales growth through new channels and new products in addition to traditional distribution routes. This role will promote a sales focus and customer/broker-centric mentality across all stakeholders within AIG.
Responsibilities:
* Identifies and secures new opportunities and relationships
* Achieves New Business budget
* Implement, and operate to, required guidelines and standards
* Identify, evaluate and secure new distribution opportunities
* Build and manage pipeline of opportunities through effective use of Salesforce
* Promotes AIG products with strong knowledge of AIG’s value proposition
* Optimises team expertise across the north region in line with market strategies & sales plan
What we’re looking for:
* ACII preferable
* Knowledge of commercial insurance distribution in the UK
* Knowledge of different distribution methods
* Knowledge of AIG systems and financial reporting
* Awareness of legal and compliance issues
* Proven relationship management skills
* Proven ability to achieve exceptional sales results
* Proven ability in developing and executing sales and distribution plans
* Strong commercial skills in: analyzing; planning; strategy; key relationships; and performance management
