We are a well-established Modern Chinese Restaurant and Bar with a strong presence in Liverpool City Centre and a sister site in Smithdown Road. We offer a unique dining experience with our carefully curated menu of Chinese Small Plates and well-stocked bar.
The RoleWe are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as General Manager. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who can drive sales, cultivate a positive team culture, and ensure exceptional customer experiences. This is a full-time, 5-day-per-week position with a salary of up to £30K
Key Responsibilities
* Sales & Revenue Management:Consistently achieve and exceed sales targets. The role involves proactively identifying and implementing promotional initiatives (e.g., themed nights, seasonal offers, bank holiday specials) that align with sales goals. You will be responsible for maximizing revenue opportunities, using performance analysis to adjust and improve the effectiveness of these promotions.
* Reservation Management:Coordinating with the Reservations Assistant on incoming reservations, including deposits, following up with enquiries, and handling day-to-day changes.
* Team Leadership & Development:Lead, train, and develop a high-performing team. This involves fostering a positive and motivated work environment, conducting regular menu and drink briefings, and providing coaching sessions. You will manage staff rotas and labor costs effectively, and ensure all mandatory training is completed. You'll work closely with our team to maintain a positive and supportive work environment, ensuring team performance and handling any disciplinary issues.
* Customer Service:Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a smooth service of the restaurant and that every guest has a memorable dining experience. This includes promptly and appropriately handling both positive and negative feedback and responding accordingly.
* Orders:Manage inventory and place weekly consumable orders and bar for restaurant supplies.
* Housekeeping:Manage day-to-day operations, including opening and closing the venue, assisting in cleanliness and general upkeep, and reporting any maintenance issues.
* Food & Hygiene:Work alongside the kitchen team to ensure that food and hygiene requirements are met.
* Communication:Work with other departments to ensure any relevant information is communicated in sufficient time and manner.
* Creativity & Personality:We want you to leave a lasting impression and encourage you to offer any feedback and ideas that could be implemented to improve the overall experience of Chamber 36.
Qualifications and Skills
* Passion for Hospitality:A genuine enthusiasm for the hospitality industry and a desire to learn and grow.
* Bar Knowledge:Basic bar and cocktail skills are desired but not essential as full training on this will be provided.
* Strong Communication Skills:The ability to effectively communicate with guests, team members, and management.
* Passion for Food & Drinks:Having a love for good food and drinks is a must for this role!
* Positive Attitude:A friendly and approachable demeanor.
* Attention to Detail:A commitment to providing high-quality service and maintaining a clean and organised dining environment.
