Accounts Assistant / Administrator Dunstable £26,000 - £28,000 Per Annum My client are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant / Administrator to join their growing team based in Dunstable. The company are a well-established business within the construction industry. As a key member of the finance department, you will primarily be responsible for general accounts administration. Main Duties: Process invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely payments to suppliers and subcontractors. Perform credit control duties to monitor and chase outstanding payments, maintaining healthy cash flow for the company Update the purchase ledger, reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies as needed Assist with general administrative tasks within the finance department, including data entry, filing, and responding to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders Collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure smooth operations and compliance with financial policies and procedures Requirements: Previous experience working in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry Proficiency in using Sage software is desired Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data Good communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team Hours: Full time Monday Friday 7:30am 5pm
