Overview

Field based Account Manager / Client Account Executive who is commercially driven with the ability to meet new prospects to present and negotiate commercial terms and close deals whilst account managing a portfolio of clients is required for a leading manufacturer of high quality, bespoke timber doorsets for commercial, residential and heritage sectors.

SALARY: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum + Benefits

LOCATION: Remote working from home with client visits nationally. Ideally you will be based in Midlands or Yorkshire regions, but other areas of the North of England and Southern Scotland will also be considered

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

KEY REQUIREMENT: You will need full drivers’ licence as this job will involve visiting your client base and new prospects

Due to continued growth, we have a fantastic new job opportunity for a field-based Account Manager / Client Account Executive who is commercially driven with the ability to meet new prospects to present and negotiate commercial terms and close deals whilst account managing a portfolio of clients.

Renowned for their craftsmanship, technical expertise, and design-led solutions, the company work closely with architects, contractors, and discerning clients to deliver tailored timber doors that combine performance, aesthetics, and durability.

Working as the field-based Account Manager / Client Account Executive you will be responsible for driving sales growth by developing relationships with architects, contractors, and end users, securing specifications, and managing projects from initial enquiry through to order conversion.

As the field-based Account Manager / Client Account Executive you will play a key role in promoting the company brand and product portfolio, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting clients with technical advice and tailored solutions.

Duties

Your duties as the field-based Account Manager / Client Account Executive will include:

* Sales Pipeline Management: Develop and manage a national sales pipeline, targeting architects, contractors, specifiers, developers, and private clients to secure new business
* Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers to secure project specifications and orders, driving repeat business
* Client Engagement: Deliver impactful presentations and product demonstrations to architectural practices and contractor offices
* Technical Support: Provide comprehensive technical support and product guidance to clients throughout the project lifecycle, from inquiry to delivery
* Commercial Negotiation: Prepare detailed quotations and skilfully negotiate commercial terms to win profitable projects
* Internal Collaboration: Work closely with internal design, estimating, and production teams to ensure all client requirements are accurately met
* Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to inform and adapt sales strategy
* UK Travel & Networking: Regularly travel across the UK to meet clients, attend site meetings, and represent the company at key industry events and exhibitions


Candidate Requirements

Essential:

* Proven track record in an account management, field sales or business development role within the bespoke joinery, timber doors, architectural products, or construction materials sector or experience working within the commercial side of a manufacturing business that produces high end doors / wood framed windows / fire doors or similar wood-based products would also be considered
* Experience dealing with architects, contractors, developers, and end users
* Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and account management skills
* Confident communicator with the ability to build rapport at all levels
* Strong technical understanding of bespoke timber products, performance doorsets, or related construction products
* Self-motivated, proactive, and results driven
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally

Desirable:

* Experience delivering presentations to architectural practices
* Existing contacts and relationships within the architecture, contractor, or interior design communities
* Knowledge of relevant building regulations, fire door requirements, and performance specifications
