Creative Teaching Assistant
Protocol Education is looking for teaching assistants with creative backgrounds such as acting, drama, or musical skills to work in primary schools in the Slough area. As a teaching assistant, you will work both one-to-one and within a classroom, supporting peers and students in a positive and engaging environment. Successful candidates will encourage student development, engage through sensory play and interaction, and support understanding of social cues and skills. You will also assist in teaching independent living skills to students with special needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, severe learning disabilities, and physical disabilities.
These schools seek teaching assistants who can apply their creative skills within early years and primary settings to maintain an engaging and fulfilling learning experience.
Main Duties:
1. Engage students through interactive and creative activities
2. Assist with sensory integration within the classroom
3. Work with teachers to assess pupils' levels and abilities
4. Ensure the school's ethos and policies are implemented
5. Liaise with parents and carers

All pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with potential for permanency later.
