RWE Central Procurement, hosted by RWE Offshore Wind GmbH, is responsible for the governance of RWE’s groupwide procurement activities as well as the procurement of all indirect demands of the RWE Group.
The team “Directives and Compliance” of Central Procurement is looking for reinforcement to support us with the management and further development of all procurement related guidelines and directives as well as the further development and digitalization of the procurement processes for the RWE Group.
As Senior Procurement Manager Directives & Compliance you will assist to ensure that the procurement division works efficiently, effectively and in compliance with internal and external regulations, not only with a UK focus, but also with a broader European & global orientation.
Your future plans
Manage and continuously improve RWE procurement directives, handbooks and other guidance documents
Monitor and assess new development in legal requirements, business policies and commercial best practices and ensure appropriate implementation in procurement guidelines and processes
Responsible for selected compliance topics, especially sustainability (ESG) and UK Modern Slavery
Conduct effective communication and deliver relevant trainings on guideline and compliance related topics to the operational procurement teams
Participate in and manage strategic projects for the further development of procurement within RWE Group
Establish and maintain a stable network with important stakeholders such as operational procurement teams, Legal, Compliance, Tax, Sustainability and other functions in the UK and within RWE group
Your profile
University degree in business, law, procurement, supply chain or comparable educational and/or professional background
High affinity to guidelines, directives and policies as well as several years of experience in their design and implementation
In-depth knowledge and experience in various compliance topics
Knowledge and experience in strategic and operative procurement processes
Knowledge and experience with renewables business provides a favourable aspect, but not essential
Comprehensive methodological skills and a systematic, quality- and goal-oriented approach to work
Self-confidence and ability to deal with conflicts with a clear solution orientation
High team spirit and comprehensive interpersonal skills and communication skills
Flexibility and willingness to travel (approximately 10%, mainly within Europe)
Fluent in spoken and written English. German and further languages are beneficial but not a must
Working in an innovative, sustainable and market-specialist company in the field of renewable energies
You will be part of a highly motivated, international team with an international orientation
