We are looking to recruit a proactive Legal Secretary/paralegal who can provide administrative assistance to the firms' fee earners who act on a variety of legal matters.You will have the opportunity to work on an array of litigation files.You will be confident liaising with clients & colleagues, proactively organising and managing diaries as well as taking the lead on tasks to ensure a seamless service is provided. Responsibilities
* General administration within the office to include scanning, filing, sorting and stamping incoming and outgoing mail.
* Answering incoming calls and making outgoing calls to clients, solicitors and other external stakeholders.
* Liaising with Court office staff both face to face and via telephone to ensure legal documents are stamped and issued.
* Learning the process of preparing Briefs for Counsel and preparing Trial Bundles.
* Liaising with clients and colleagues to ensure a seamless service is provided.
Skills and Qualifications
* Previous experience working in a similar role within the professional services sector, preferably legal.
* Ability to type, draft and produce documents efficiently and with ease is essential.
* First class communication skills both written and verbal.Initiative to learn and ability to self-motivate.
* Capability to prioritise and multitask effectively, with good time management and organisational skills.
* Experience of working under pressure to tight deadlines.
* Always demonstrate discretion and the ability to maintain absolute confidentiality.
* IT skills - Adobe Sign, Microsoft Word, Excel, typing, Case Management use, formatting and editing documents.

The role will be based in our Newry office.Salary dependent on experience.
