Our client is a well-established engineering business known for innovation, technical excellence, and high-quality product delivery across multiple sectors. As they continue to grow, they're now on the hunt for a Senior Project Design Engineer to help design and lead projects for their manufacturing clients across the UK who are automating their manufacturing processes.
This is a rare progressive role leading to a Technical Director position and would suit applications who are looking for career development.
What's involved for the Senior Project Design Engineer…
* Lead the mechanical design of products and systems using 2D & 3D CAD tools such as Inventor or AutoCAD
* Produce detailed drawings and technical documentation
* Support the prototyping, testing, and validation of designs
* Conduct design reviews, feasibility studies
* Help continuously improve design processes and engineering standards
* Manage and oversea project engineers and design teams
What you'll need…
* Mechanical Design Engineer experience at a senior level
* Design or Project Engineer experience within automation manufacturing is advantageous
* Strong skills in 2D/3D CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor etc)
* Excellent understanding of process manufacturing
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
* Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
* A proactive, team-focused mindset
